TOPIC : THE POWER OF THANKSGIVING

TEXT : PSALM 150

"Praise ye the Lord. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power. Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness. Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp. Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs. Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals. Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord."

Many Christians are stranded today because they take God's grace for granted. Being on earth today and seeing the last day of the 9th month in 2016 is never by your power. God deserves to be appreciated and praised. The scriptures says, 'let everything that has breath praise God.' Most of us are ingrate; we thought it's by right that we are here on earth today, healthy and sound.

I tell you a mystery, if not for the grace of God that has found us, many of us would have been burning endlessly in hell today. Why not appreciate God for that!

Even David, a man after God's heart never took his sleeping and waking for granted. He did not attributed it to his fasting and prayers as many of us does these days. You hear believer saying, 'if not because I prayed and fasted'. If I may ask, who gave you the strength to fast and pray? Several of your age mates are there underneath the grave, many are in the hospital, wishing they had the kind of good health you're enjoying.

David said, 'I slept and I woke up because The Lord sustained me'. Not because my fasting and prayers sustained me. Psm3:5.

I tell you a mystery,

- Your degree of gratitude is what determines the greatness of your journey.
- Gratitude determines your altitude.
- The more grateful you are, the more colourful your destiny becomes.
- Thanksgiving is far more potent than prayers. It provokes God to act on your behalf, because He inhabit the praises of His people. Pastor E.A Adeboye said, 'when you pray, you do the fight; but when you praise, God does the fight.
- Praise is an open cheque to any smart believer.
- Thank you is what qualifies you for the next act of favour. **The parable of the ten lepers**
- God's presence envelops you when you praise. And God's presence is all you need to have the most triumphant ride in life. ROM 8:31
- Show me a man who's addicted to thanksgiving, and I will show you a man after God's heart.
- When God goes with you, everything goes great for you.
- When you pray, God hears; but when you praise, He comes down.
- Prayer has technicalities, but you don't need to quote scriptures to thank Him for what He has done, and to praise Him for who He is.
- Is any happy? Let him sing. James 5:13
- David praised his way into God's heart.
- People of Ammon, Moan and Mount Seir gathered to war against Judah in 2Chro 20. Praises was what made God to act on their behalf. The enemies helped in destroying themselves.
- Thank God for His act, praise Him for His personality. PSM 136
- Jesus, our Master gave thanks to God before the inexhaustible multiplicity came down on the loaves and fishes. John 6:11
- Thanksgiving is a catalyst that boost miracle.
- God reacts violently to people that appropriate His glory to themselves.
- You become a living wonder when you're lost in Thanksgiving.
- Gratitude provokes the release of fresh oil. Psm92
- Ingratitude is an expression of pride.
- We celebrate engracement in the kingdom of God, not achievement. Paul said, 'I am what I am by the grace of God.' 1Cor15:10
- God defines you as a FOOL when you cannot see Him at the events of your life.
- The humbler you are, the higher you fly; the meeker you are, the greater the journey becomes.

I challenge you today, be addicted to Thanksgiving and praise, and you'll see God's hands the more in your life. You can't run dry of inspiration when you always acknowledge that every good and perfect gift come from above (God).

2. You're nothing but GRASS without God's grace. And grass is to be trampled under foot by everyone.

ACTION POINT

Spend at least ten minutes to thank and praise God before you sleep tonight. Sing psalms, spiritual songs and hymns to Him. Not only today, but all the days of your life. Be addicted to praising and thanking Him for everything; food, breathe, health, grace, wisdom, rhemas, and so on....

TOPIC: OBEDIENCE (DOERS OF THE WORD)
NATURE: CHALLENGE
TEXT: Deut 28:1-2, Phil 2:5-11

God brought my understanding to something some times ago of which revived and changed my life about obedience, and the results has been amazing, and that I will be sharing with you today so you could learn one or two things that will make you to start exercising your dominion birthright here on earth.

Despite the fact that you're addicted to the scriptures, and you've read through the new testament several times, you've read several books and articles, you've attended several seminars; He said to me, son, you know too much that you act on nothing. If you've acted on 5% of what you know, your life would have blossom more than this. You know virtually ALL that is written, but none is written on the tablet of your heart. The word is with you, but not IN you. And we only know if the word is IN you by you acting it out. Son, I desired you to study the word to live, and not study to preach. Being with Me is the first thing. Later when I send you to preach, it will now be OUT of your belly shall flow rivers of living water. Then you won't have to struggle with what to preach, but out of the abundance in your heart (not in your head), the mouth speaks. When that is settled, the messages you preach cannot but have effect in the heart of the hearer, because you've now become a messenger, and I'm committed to confirming the word of My servant and performing the counsel of My messenger. Message is not what you preach, but who you are. Your areas of dealings.

So readers, I challenge you today, be the doer of the word, not just the hearer. It is the desire and delight of God that we His children should shine like star here on earth. But sorry to say, many of us are fools. Note, foolishness is not an insult, but it's just that we chose not to apply wisdom. Samuel said to Saul, 'you have acted foolishly.' Five of the 10 virgins were fools. Why? Because they refused to carry extra oil.

I hope you're not offended!

I tell you a mystery today, forget about shining as star here on earth if your still a fool. The word of God can never be broken. The word says in Daniel 12:3, 'Those who are WISE shall shine like the brightness of the firmament, and those who turn many to righteousness like the stars forever and ever."

And how will you know if you're wise of foolish?

Mat 7:24-27 "Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock, and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock. Now everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand, and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall."

FOOD FOR THOUGHT

- Your dominion in Christ is at the mercy of your obedience to God and His Word.
- Every of God's provision always demand your cooperation.
- It is not enough to know what you have, you must know what it takes to actualize it.
- There is wisdom solution in the Word to every human problem.
- Is any man suffering? Let him pray. Simple! Jam5:13
- Every non-tither is a victim of closed heaven. Mal3:10
- If you're not a giver, forget about men giving to your bosom.
-  If you're not a seed sower, then forget about getting anything during the harvest.
- Forget about obtaining mercy from God if you're not merciful.
- Forget about seeing God if you're not pure in heart.
- Forget about finding God if you're not a diligent seeker and die-hard follower.
- Forget about inheriting the earth and getting grace from God if you're not meek in heart (I.e humble, correctable, teachable).
- Forget about the kingdom of God if you're not poor in spirit.
- Forget about prosperity in God's way if you cover your sins. The sin you committed is not as deadly and consequential as you refusing to acknowledge that you've sinned. Jer3:13.
- Forget about signs and wonders if you're not on mission for God. Signs are meant to follow you as you go, not as you stay.
- Forget about divine guidance and direction if you're not the type that fast and pray. Ezra8:21

I pray The Holy Spirit will amplify these words in your heart in Jesus name! Let me stop here. I believe fire has been ignited in you. I leave the rest for Him to fan.

Final note:
1. You can walk in the dignity of kingdom integrity to have unending prosperity if you're doer of the Word.
2. If you're afraid to be different, you can never make a difference. You can't join them to change them.
3. The eternal dominion of Christ is traceable to obedience.

TOPIC: FEAR NOT, YOU WON'T FALL
NATURE: ENCOURAGEMENT
TEXT: JUDE 1:24

You might have heard people saying to you times without number that, 'what would become of your life in few years time? We've seen many sisters/brothers that were fervent on campus, they even dressed like S.U, but they were silenced few years after graduation. We won't be surprise if that becomes your story also in few years time.'

I'm sure you've heard such from people, even other brethren. But I'm here to tell you today, FEAR NOT, YOU WON'T FALL, not because you won't want to, but because you simply know and believe you can't keep yourself from falling. Unto God that is ABLE to keep you from falling and to His grace that is ABLE to help you deny ungodliness.

It is those who thinks they stand that the Bible warned to take heed less they fall. But you, on Christ The Solid Rock you stand, all other ground is sinking sand.

The only thing you have to do is to keep LOOKING unto Jesus on the cross, The Author and Finisher of your faith. In fact, you do not have to worry about how to please God tomorrow! That is none of your concern. Wake up tomorrow and keep looking. That's where the victory is. So when you're asked what would become of you tomorrow; simply answer by saying, MORE LIKE JESUS! Get that? Good.

The second aspect is that, if the principle you're living by is this as believer, ' have faith in yourself, believe in your ability', I tell you, you're heading for great failure, which will graduate to disaster, and then calamity, and finally, Catastrophe. For it is written, 'by strength shall NO man prevail.' Apostle peter tried believing in that philosophy, he nearly lost his life to hell. So why believing in yourself and your ability? Have you forgotten that except to the Lord watches over a city the watchman watches in vain?
Jesus alone is to be looked unto, and not yourself.

FFT (1): God’s strength behind you, His concern for you, His love within you, and His arms beneath you are more than sufficient for the job ahead of you.”
FFT (2): The same everlasting Father who care for you today will take care of you tomorrow, and every day. Either He will shield you from suffering, or He will give you unfailing strength to bear it

remembers that his Helper is omnipotent.

TOPIC: GOD'S MERCY
TEXT: matt9:13, Ecl9:11
NATURE: CHALLENGE

The Bible says in Roms 9:16, 'So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.' I want you to understand this today that it is not sinners alone that needs the Mercy of God, but all who must become something in His hand. No amount of sacrifice can be substituted for His mercy. No one can become anything significant in God's hand without His mercy.

I tell you a mystery today, you can never fulfil your destiny in God without obtaining His mercy. He desires mercy and not sacrifice. Not because you've sinned, but that God's mercy is a requirement if you must fulfill your destiny in God. Fulfilling your destiny in God is not a matter of your desire or how fast you run. Other translations of that scriptures (Rom9:16) says,

- It does not, therefore, depend on human desire or
effort, but on God's mercy. NIV
- So it is God who decides to show mercy. We can
neither choose it nor work for it. NLT
- So then it depends not on human will or exertion,
but on God, who has mercy. ESV
- Compassion doesn't originate in our bleeding hearts or moral sweat, but in God's mercy. MSG
-
And so God’s blessings are not given just because someone decides to have them or works hard to get them. They are given because God takes pity on those he wants to. TLB

I challenge you today, go to God in prayers today to plead for His mercy over your life and destiny, because that is one of the Key prerequisite to fulfilling your destiny in God.

- Again I looked throughout the earth and saw that the swiftest person does not always win the race, nor the strongest man the battle, and that wise men are often poor, and skillful men are not necessarily famous; but it is all by chance, by happening to be at the right place at the right time. TLB
- I have observed something else under the sun. The
fastest runner doesn't always win the race, and the
strongest warrior doesn't always win the battle. The
wise sometimes go hungry, and the skillful are not
necessarily wealthy. And those who are educated
don't always lead successful lives. It is all decided

NATURE: ENCOURAGEMENT

First let me ask, do you even know this God I'm talking about? You cannot have confidence in someone you do not know. It is those that know their God that will command exploit on this earth.

Are you sure it's not second hand information you're carrying around about this God? Have you truly encountered Him? You know ABOUT God in the pages of the Bible, but you truly KNOW Him when you encounter the Word Himself (Jesus). Check that out first! Are you truly a witness? Has your eyes seen Jesus? Hope what you're carrying around is not what you heard from a preacher or from someone else?

How much of God do you know?

-We are where we are due to what we know.
-Darkness only invades when the intensity of the light is not adequate.
- Ever-learning but never come to the knowledge of the truth
- many of you do not have the knowledge of God, I speak this to your shame (1cor15:34b)

I'm here to challenge and encourage you today that it is only confidence in known God that can guarantee you of a glorious future. The psalmist says, THROUGH God I will do valiantly, not through self.

-trusting in the Lord is your guarantee for continuous triumph in God
-there is no future in self-confidence
-it is the quality of your trust that determines the quality of your destiny in God
-When your trust is intact, your shame must give way to success
-Even Jesus our Master said 'I can of myself do nothing' (John15:5)
-God is made responsible through unflinching trust in Him
-Whatever trust delivers, trust preserves
-Trust in yourself should be below zero
-Trust in no man whoever he/she may be. The help of man is useless. It's only by trusting God that you can do valiantly.

FFT(1) : Are you trusting God or you're testing Him?
FFT (2) : Those who test God shall never be free from trials. And those that trust God are the ones entitled to triumph.

TEXT: John 15:2

God told you something 3 years ago, and it has blessed you greatly. We bless Him for that! Though you're still single, but God has revealed the secrete of successful marriage to you through books and seminars, and to great extent you're guaranteed of successful marriage. We bless God for that! God has opened your eyes to deeper waters of His word. Glory be to Him! He has showed you the secrete of academic excellent; and in fact you're the one leading your department. We bless God for that! You have grace for giving, fasting, sowing, divine wisdom, divine direction, and so on. We thank God for that!

But may I ask you, who's benefitting or who has benefitted from ALL you've been receiving from OUR DADDY? We may not be all at home when He was telling you all this! Probably we've offended Him then so He could not tell us what He told you! Or we went on an assignment for Him. If it something general to we the children, and He has permitted you to tell us, why keeping it then?  How many lives have you affected through the revelational knowledge God has given you? How many people can say that you've been a blessing to them? Thank God, you've been save and born again, and you have hope of eternal life with God. But may I ask, how many people have you extend the love of Christ to, so they could have the same hope of eternal life? Or you think that sinner beside you does not qualified to inherit eternal life? May God forgive you!

Bro/Sis, everyone in your fellowship in school knows you to be the best Prayo, the best rhema disher, best singer, fervent this and fervent that. But if I may ask, who are you in your hometown? What is your contribution to the development of you town? Are the younger ones feeling your imparts? Or are you one of those that used to run away from home because of witches? I tell you, your strength is little!

Who are you to younger ones at home? A blessing or a burden? I challenge you today, these people needs you and what you're carrying, even if it is little.

Give, and it shall be given unto you. Help someone today with your rhema, gifts, talent and wisdom. Extend the love of Christ to someone today! Be a blessing, not a burden! You're only remembered for what you have done! Our God is not unjust to forget your labour of love.

The body of Christ will participate in the greatest
revival in all history in the generation in which the
Lord returns. The greatest outpouring of the Spirit
in history will be released just before Jesus’s
second coming. In this great revival, the Holy
Spirit will release the miracles that were seen in
the Book of Acts and the Book of Exodus
combined and multiplied on a global scale, which
will result in the following positive trends.
1.A victorious, unified, anointed church full of
God’s glory will emerge (Matt. 16:18; John
17:21–26; Eph. 4:13; 5:26–27; Rev. 7:9; 12:11;
15:2; 19:7–8).
2.The church will live in purity or without spot
(compromise) as they walk out Sermon on the
Mount lifestyles (Matt. 5–7). “ThatHe might
present her to Himself a glorious church, not
having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that
she should be holy and without blemish” (Eph.
5:27).
3.The great ingathering of souls from all nations
will surely see over one billion new souls (Ps.
66:4; Amos 9:11–12; Zeph. 2:11; 3:8–10; Matt.
24:14; Rom. 11:12–15, 26; Rev. 5:9; 7:9; 14:6;
15:4).
A great multitude . . . no one could number, of all
nations . . . out of the great tribulation” (Rev. 7:9,
14).

Text: Acts 18:24-28, Neh 2:19-20

When you're been called series of negative names, like mad man, disturber, unspiritual, holier than thou, nonsensical bro/sis, blasphemer, and so on; your first step is not to react, neither by fighting nor quarreling; but to respond. And you respond by evaluating yourself FIRST, maybe you're really guilty/at fault or not. Do not be wise in your own sight! Teachability expands your horizon. Be humble enough to take correction. God gives grace to the humble.

You can also turn Insult to challenge rather than reacting. No one should make you angry without your consent! Those who desired to live godly life will surely face persecutions and oppositions. God never promised the journey was going to be an easy voyage; but He thus promised a safe landing. There is always giant to conquer at every mountain. Don't be surprise if the opposition even comes from your family or fiance/ fiancee, they may not see what you're seeing. Joseph and Job for instance!

You can also respond by evaluating the other parties, maybe they are Aquila and Pricilla, trying to help your Apollo to understand the ways of God better; or they are Sanballat and Tobiah, trying to discourage your Nehemiah from rebuilding the broken walls.

FFT(1) = Be opened to correction, and respond to opposition instead of reacting.
FFT(2) = Do not be embarrassed when you find out you do not know everything. After all you're not omniscience.

Never underestimate the power of a single soul. A man who's dead spiritually today may end up eating with Jesus at the dining table tomorrow. Jesus died for that unbeliever beside you also. He/she also need the gospel! Extent Christ's love to him/her, with the consciousness that the Holy Spirit will project the word farther in his/her heart.

Joh 12:1-2 "Then, six days before the Passover, Jesus came to Bethany, where Lazarus was who had been dead, whom He had raised from the dead. There they made Him a supper; and Martha served, BUT "LAZARUS" WAS ONE OF THOSE WHO SAT AT THE TABLE WITH HIM (JESUS)."
